Comme des Garçons x Nike
Adorable CGI baby elephant welcome a new pair of sneakers from Comme des Garçons and Nike, the CDG x Nike Terminator. After two highly successful collaborations, they ring in the Spring/Summer season with a simple, clean yet already iconic new model which reads in bold both CDG and Nike at the heel. You'll be able to cop them starting from April 1st at Dover Street Market webstores and physical stores as well as other global retailers.
The model arrives in three colourways (black, navy and re...
adidas x Ivy Park
Orange and purple never looked better together. Beyoncé's brand Ivy Park's latest drop, in collaboration with giant adidas, is here in hopes to make you take your leisurewear outside the house, with their motto Discover Your Park. Their newest campaign, starring Gen Z legend rapper Ice Spice, (whose haircolour is perfect for the colourway) iconic Devon Aoki – including her four kids – and even 12-year-old Miss Coco, our favourite Harajuku resident.
Louis Vuitton F/W 2021
Whether Creative Director Virgil Abloh was inspired by this recent major political change that will certainly go down in history or not, we can definitely sense that things are drastically changing at Louis Vuitton Men. Their newest collection Ebonics/Snake Oil/The Black Box/Mirror, Mirror is proof of this, as it masterfully explores intricately interwoven themes and structures that talk about the interconnected nature of all things, from established racial archetypes to the systematic oppression tied to these. It is presented in a highly ambitious and stunningly fresh and complex video that s
Loewe x Howl's Moving Castle
“The world we are living in needs a counteract: not as an escape, but as a different outlook. This, to me, is what Hayao Miyazaki's animated films for Studio Ghibli are about: a commentary on the moment and an alternative to it, always heartfelt, fulfilling, full of fantasy and sentiment,” this is how Creative Director Jonathan Anderson introduces us to Loewe's latest collaboration with Studio Ghibli movie – which was first announced a few days ago on Instagram – and this time around they're ...
Louis Vuitton F/W 2022
Virgil Abloh began his role as Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton Men in 2018, and apparently, he decided back then that he would design what he called an “octology,” a series of eight collections and this is his last one. A residency that had been planned to perfection, embodying values such as inclusivity, of representing marginalised people, at the same time that he refused to be treated as one. The Fall/Winter 2022 show, titled Louis Dreamhouse, is a homage to his legacy and the themes explored in his previous collections.
Vaquera F/W 2023
Patric DiCaprio and Bryn Taubensee might have never thought that they'd be known for creating designer denim, yet here they are. Never in his wildest dreams would the Alabama-raised DiCaprio ever think he'd be showing his New York-based brand in Paris Fashion Week, on the first day, yet here they are. And this collection is exactly about this, about dreams – or nightmares, depending on how you see it.
Gucci Resort 2023
Weaving and intertwining references, contacts, inspirations, quotations and many other elements are exactly what Cosmogonies, Gucci's Resort 2023 collection, is all about. Inspired by the relationship and exchange between exiled writers and philosophers Hannah Arendt and Walter Benjamin, Alessandro Michele's latest collection explores connections, their beauty and how these constitute constellations and, in the end, our whole world.
Prada Men F/W 2022
We're living in an era where we simultaneously make fun of the so-called “unskilled workers,” who should actually be called essential workers, whilst their much-needed work keeps our society functioning. Without the work of people who inhabit those roles, we wouldn't be where we are, and Prada Men knows this well. Their newest Fall/Winter 2022 collection, titled Body of Work is an ode to the value of work, but it's also a double entendre, as Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada celebrate their own wo...
adidas x Gucci
We are now more than ever used to seeing collaborations between giants coming from different fashion sectors, like streetwear and luxury, however, these capsule collections – when done right – never really cease to amaze us. We were already blown away by a magical house of mirrors-like runway in which adidas x Gucci was presented back in February, and yet this lookbook has definitely also caught our attention.
The Carlijn Jacobs shot images present us with some outstanding staple items that w...
Lil Nas X and Cowboy Fashion
Bandanas, western shirts, denim, leather belts, lots of fringe, cowboy boots and hats; maybe these elements are usually associated with actors from Western movies, but today’s cowboy fashion has nothing to do with all that. Artists like Lil Nas X or Solange have put the figure of the cowboy (or cowgirl) front and centre, as we’ve never seen before, by completely reinventing the concept.
In just a matter of months, we’ve found ourselves with a mini cowboy revolution in music and fashion. A few...
André Leon Talley
Does he need a presentation? Many of you will know André Leon Talley for his iconic, larger-than-life persona, but there’s much more to his story to be told. He has always stood out, as he used to be a skinny, tall, flamboyant black man living in the south of the United States at the same time as the birth of the civil rights movement. But after a long and tough journey, he’s become one of the most venerated people in the fashion industry. And despite his tight schedule, we got a chance to me...
Modalisboa Spring/Summer 2020
This time around, ModaLisboa showed us another side to the wonderful city of Lisbon. Their Spring/Summer 2020 edition took place in quite an unconventional venue, in what used to be the Army's Old General Uniform and Equipment Workshops. Although it no longer works as a factory, the site still belongs to the Portuguese army, which meant having to walk from fashion show to fashion show while being escorted by armed, uniformed soldiers. It just begs the question, how did they manage to pull thi...
ModaLisboa Spring/Summer 2019
If you haven’t checked out ModaLisboa – Lisbon Fashion Week, you’re truly missing out. It is a highly underrated city in the fashion world, but hopefully, after you read this, you’ll change your mind. There is a lot of talent out there in Lisbon, from young designers who might actually be based elsewhere but are lucky to be embraced in such a warm city, to even more established brands that sadly don’t get much attention outside Portugal. At least, I discovered many of them when I attended the...
Lyzza
It’s impossible to put this promising 20-year-old DJ into a box. Hell, she won’t even dare do that herself. If we had to describe her sound, we’d say that it’s sort of experimental electronic music that is catered to the most sensitive, creative, anxiety-ridden kind of people. So, if you fall into that category, read on.
Lyzza is somewhat of a hero or unofficial spokesperson for those who don’t fall into or decide not to follow the norm, and she’s really good at her job. However, don’t expect...
